Our country has suffered a drought for over 6 decades now… a drought not of water or rainfall but of righteousness and leadership. Entire generations in India have grown up on scams, scandals and scoundrels! It is therefore so wonderful to experience this outpouring of love, admiration and appreciation for Sachin Tendulkar.

It is as if the parched earth is soaking up the first rainshower! A nation starved of role models is reveling in the validation of the right principles. It is no doubt the clearest proof that if we live like Sachin has lived, by committing to excellence in character and competence, then we can receive acceptance and accolades on a grand scale. That I think is Sachin’s greatest contribution to this country!
